One of Houston's finest restaurants isn't in Houston at all. Tucked away in the rolling Texas countryside with flowing meadows and wildflowers, the Inn at Dos Brisas, with its fine dining and luxury casitas, is an unusual blend of elegant sophistication and natural beauty. The Inn combines the finest amenities with the rustic charm - a unique marriage of European style with down-home Texan comfort.
Award-winning chef Jason Robinson prepares imaginative dishes in the classic French method using fresh local ingredients for a truly unique culinary affair. Each dish of our eight-course 'Grand Tasting' menu is carefully paired with one of over 5,000 bottles of wine from our climate-controlled cellar, enhancing the food's natural flavors. The Inn at Dos Brisas offers an unsurpassed alternative to Houston's fine dining enthusiasts.
Eight-or five-course tasting menus that vary from night to night and a five-course Sunday Brunch menu incorporate local produce and game, as well as vegetables and herbs from the Inn's own organic garden. The exciting array of indigenous fruits, vegetables and wild game from this part of the country allows imaginatively crafted menus that change with the seasons and amaze our guests. Every tasting menu is a unique culinary journey that fuses local flavors with market-fresh ingredients.
Menu standouts served on custom Bernardaud china include Chilled Maine Lobster 'Breneboise' with Texas Rio Star Grapefruit, Poached Breast of Pheasant wrapped in Garden Mustard Greens with Black-eyed Pea 'Cassoulet,' Glazed Duck Confit with Caramelized Onion-Orange Marmalade and Duck Cracklins', and Curried Texas Waygu Beef Tenderloin seared over Beluga Lentil Puree. The Inn is home to two wine cellars that stock the finest selections and exceptional care is taken in wine pairings that enhance the flavors of every course. Wines from the extensive list are served in stemware by Riedel to complete an exquisite fine dining experience.
Only an hour from Houston
A leisurely drive transports you to a world away from the stress and chaos of everyday city life. The Inn itself is as alluring and beautifully-appointed as the cuisine -- one part Texas chic, one part French elegance, with many special touches. A grand fireplace, the focal point of the room, is from the 1760s and came piece-by-piece from France's Loire Valley region. From Australia come the petite, designer 'Ritz' lamps that supply an individual golden glow at each table. Custom-made leather and richly-upholstered chairs provide a rustic touch, as does the handsome bar, handcrafted from alder and mahogany. And fine art from owner Doug Bosch's private collection is regularly changed for a unique experience with every visit.
The Inn at Dos Brisas is a secluded oasis in the Texas countryside, but getting here from Houston is easy once you know the way. Spanning over 300 acres, the Inn blooms like a wildflower against a backdrop of rolling hills and grazing horses. Located in Washington, Texas, the Inn and fine dining experience offers a fine dining culinary experience for discriminating tastes and luxury casitas for the ultimate in weekend retreats.
